Web Searching and Wine Values

Wine web search is automatically invoked when you click on any wine. The results are shown in reduced form on add-wine and cellar pages - and full size in its own (new) Search Results page Winery website is automatically accessed when you click on any wine. The results are shown in reduced form on add-wine and cellar pages - and full size in its own (new) Winery Website page Support for www.globalwinestocks.com subscribers to automatically provide retail, street or auction values for wines in their cellar The wine value guide and wine valuation calculations for wines in your cellar are still available as an alternative means of valuing your wines. Global Wine Stocks provides an up-to-date valuation service for wines in your cellar based on list prices, street prices or auction prices from a database of over 2,700,000 prices and 11,000 wine merchants.

Cellars and Backups

• New menu command to save the cellar so you can save your work at any time without having to close the cellar or exit the program
• New menu command to close the cellar so you can leave the program open, without it displaying any wines
• Clearer instructions given when you attempt to exit The Uncorked Cellar without saving modifications to a wine
• Improved wine matching when checking the database for wine information - where the wine name in the cellar does not exactly match that in the reference
• New format for tag list and rack locations within CSV files so that Excel does not interpret tag lists of 3 digit tag numbers as a single number
• Adding wine from the cellar pages forces you to specify how many bottles so you do not inadvertantly double how many bottles you have in your cellar
• Updating values of wines in your cellar from the reference adjusts the value according to the size of the bottle in your cellar
• New Menu command to add tag numbers (or barcodes) to every bottle in your cellar which does not already have a tag number.

Racks & Rack Wizard

New triple and multi depth rows (or rows of bins) Remember the most recent display size Removing the first bottle containing a single tag for the entire record "moves" the tag to the next bottle When adding bottles the rack defaults to the last one used. The color of "Unavailable" locations has been hardcoded to avoid clashing with Windows Themes

Barcodes

• Scanning a valid wine (UPC or EAN) barcode in the winery name field of the Addwine page automatically recognises it as a barcode and looks up that wine

Reports

• New capability to copy the selected report so you can use it as a template for a new report
• Showing Cellar Summary from the main menu now produces a printable report showing bottles, total price and total value per variety
• New report showing what has been changed when you update wine values in your cellar using prices from www.globalwinestocks.com
